titled “Turning a New Leaf”
on Thursday September 10th, 2015 at 12 noon.
It will be on till 13th September, 2015,
Daily 12noon to 8pm.
Vasantha Mukthavaram, who has been practicing this unique art form for more than 15 years held many shows since 2004 mainly in USA and India and got rewards and appreciation from eminent artists like Bapu and SV Ramarao. She speaks about her art as “To create a visual language with found Leaves made me think anew - "Pachanaaku Saakshigaa". I identify myself as a green leaf. The rustling of leaves is music to my ears. Leaves of various colours and shapes make my world. Their movement is the dance of nature. Leaves are like a procession of possibilities in my open eyed dreams. I can observe them endlessly and collect them as per my ability to see forms in them. Fall is a riot of colors. That is my spring. The rules I set for myself make my work unique. I don't cut or alter the leaves. I create the forms mostly from the leaves and occasionally a few flowers.” Her works can be viewed at www.mvkgreenart.com
